PEYOTE PEOPLE

FEATURE DOC  |  DIRECTOR, ADDITIONAL CINEMATOGRAPHER

Peyote people is a feature documentary that follows the Comanche community’s relationship with their medicine, peyote. The film follows the journey from the harvest in South Texas to ceremonies in Oklahoma, told through the voices of elders, youth, and Native American Church leaders. As environmental threats grow and access becomes more limited, the film asks what happens to our spirituality if we can no longer access a critical element.
